Aishwarya talks about Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’
We’ve told you that it’s always been ‘Touch and go with KJo’ for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but that was until Ae Dil Hai Mushkil happened. The prospect of working with Karan Johar for the first time has the Bachchan bahu excited.
“It’s finally happening. Karan and I are finally working together. At times, we joke with each other that we should keep pinching ourselves to believe that,” she giggles. “I want to enjoy being a typical Karan Johar heroine. Karan has his usual staple trademarks when it comes to his kind of romantic films. So I tease him all the time, saying ‘Will I not have your trademark signature moves? I am like, Please karo woh sab. I also want to be in a Karan Johar film that way’,” she laughs.
KJo has already started the recce for the film. Calling ADHM ‘a very real way of addressing love…’, she adds, “I still don’t know how he has decided to present the film. As we start working, I will get to know his detailing as a director for his craft. But it’s a beautiful love story, that is being said in a very real way. Even the dialogues aren’t just placed for the sake of it. There’s something very very real about it.”
Ash is also kicked about working with her co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. “It’s a lovely team to be working with. Ranbir has been a buddy since Aa Ab Laut Chalein (he was the assistant director on the film).Anushka is a wonderful energy who I have come across. There’s something special about the younger-generation actors. They immediately make you feel at home and very comfortable. So I am looking for an amazing ride with these two, for sure!” she says.
